The Queensbury Connection: Open For Business!
When you think of a “business hub” you may think about places like New York City instead of Queensbury, NY; but take a closer look. The Queensbury connection and influence in our local and regional area is strong and growing, from hospitality to attractions, health and medical corporations and manufacturing, and a growing retail segment.
Nestled at the foot of the Adirondacks, Queensbury is surrounded by venues and attractions like the Six Flags Great Escape Lodge, Glens Falls Civic Center, and West Mountain Ski Center. Not to mention all of our restaurants, shopping centers and outlets, outdoor recreation, and hotels.
New community members love our quiet, small town feel that still has all the conveniences of living close to a city. Queensbury is a great area to bring up a family, surrounded by a rich history, as well as a school district with a reputation for academic excellence. With an active airport right in town, the Albany International Airport less than an hour away, and an easy drive to New York City, Montreal, or Boston, it’s no wonder that businesses are coming to our area.
So much so that Holiday Inn Express, along with two other new hotels, are opening up to provide over 268 additional rooms to accommodate business travelers and tourists. Oriented mainly to business travelers, the Holiday Inn Express currently underway Exit 18 will feature suites with separate business and sleeping quarters to better accommodate business demands while traveling.
Queensbury is a community that is focused on business, industry and a healthy lifestyle, and is always looking for new ways to cater to the business community’s needs. With a new rock climbing and trampoline park also underway at Exit 18, the Queensbury Corridor is setting expectations for much more to come!
