Welcome-Our website has been designed to provide you with essential information on the services we provide and allow you ready access to forms for building permits, land use permits, dog license, etc. We hope you'll find our site easy to use.
The Community Development Department is divided into four functional areas consisting of Zoning - Land Use Permitting, Planning, Building & Code Enforcement, and Animal Control. We're responsible for administering the approval process for construction related activities from residential subdivisions and commercial site plans to residential building permits and mobile home permits.
We provide technical assistance to the Town's elected/appointed officials in development of land use plans, capital projects, and grant writing. We're also a resource for public education and enforcement of portions of the Town's codes, including dog licensing and fire prevention.
Recently we've been successful in obtaining federal/state aid for housing rehabilitation, community beautification, and transportation related improvements. We work actively with other Town Departments on projects designed to make our community a great place to live.
