Citizen's Guide/ Summary Tables for the Zoning Ordinance
The 1998 ordinance was generally not easy to navigate. The new ordinance has been reformatted and reorganized to allow for easy reference. One of the significant changes is the presentation of allowed uses in a tabular format. The links below provide you access to the summary tables. Uses are listed along the left hand column and the zoning districts are listed along the top row. We think you'll find the tables easy to use. The Town Planning Department is also in the process of developing a user's guide "The Citizen's Guide to the Town of Queensbury Zoning Ordinance" to further simplify access to important information you need on the Town's land use regulations. The Citizen's Guide presents a brief summary of the organization of zoning ordinance, Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs), the Summary Tables and how to use them, and a series of informational brochures. The informational brochures focus on a specific subject commonly of interest to the general public. Brochures developed to date include Mobile Homes (No. 1) and Accessory Structures (No. 2). Brochures are planned for a wide variety of topics including: the Permit Process, Home Occupations, In Home Day Care/Day Care Facilities, etc. A copy of the draft Citizen's Guide and the Informational Brochures are available online at the link on this page.
