SESTERCENTENNIAL OF THE TOWN OF QUEENSBURY
1762-2012
Come join us for the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Town.
This celebration is called the Sestercentennial which means halfway
between 200 and 300 years.
Queensbury was founded on May 20, 1762 when the Patent was granted to
Abraham Wing and proprietors. The following year a group of Quakers arrived
to begin the settlement.
Saturday August 25, 2012 - Open House at the Town Hall
Time: Noon - 3 p.m.
Location: Town of Queensbury - Town Hall (Directions)
- Come visit the only town hall Queensbury has had.
- Meet town officials
- Join in our commemorative program
- Enjoy refreshments
