47th Adirondack Balloon Festival 2019

In 1972, The Adirondack Balloon Festival took off when Vermont native John Marsden shared photos of his hot air balloon with some Glens Falls visionaries looking for an event that would attract visitors to the Adirondack Region in the fall. Since the beginning, the event has been free of charge and open to the public. In its 47th year, this not-for-profit organization is operated by volunteers and has grown into a four-day event with about 175,000 spectators estimated for the 2018 Adirondack Balloon Festival!

The Adirondack Balloon Festival is the 3rd largest balloon festival in the country and each year there is something new!
