Coons Farm Stand In Queensbury: 36 Years Of The Good Stuff!
If you drive through the Aviation Road roundabout, you have seen the farm stand signs for “Fresh Vegetables!” Coon Farms has maintained a farm stand in this spot for 16 years, selling locally grow fresh fruits and vegetables from their farm in Greenwich.
Nicholas Coon greets visitors to the farm stand with a ready smile and a customer-centric demeanor. We chatted with him about his farm stand, and learned that not only has this one been operating here for 16 years, but his parents have maintained the farm stand just west of Exit 18 for – hold for it….36 years! There’s definitely just something wondrous about pulling over to browse the colors, smells and tastes of locally grown produce, and supporting local farms makes it all that much better!
Coons Farm Stand is located on Manor Drive near the Aviation Road roundabout less than a mile west of Exit 19. They are open 7 days a week, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 pm until October 25th. A bit later in the season they will carry fresh breads, pies and baked goods.
