PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT: Queensbury Board Meetings
BOARD MEETINGS: PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
Public Meeting Formats: Physical and Virtual (Live) Town of Queensbury Board Meetings
During the COVID-19 pandemic the Town of Queensbury will be providing alternative meeting formats for Queensbury Board meetings. Meetings will continue, generally as scheduled, with online availability and the following changes:
Board Meeting Format: All April meetings will be in person meetings. The April meetings will also be available via YouTube. Beginning in May: All Planning Board and Zoning Board meetings will be in person and may not have accessibility via YouTube or Zoom. Please see our events calendar for information on each meeting.
The public will also be allowed to remote view live in April.
The public will be allowed to speak to the Board during Public Hearing portions of the meeting(s).
These meetings will be convened in accordance with the Governor’s March 13, 2020 Executive Order 202.1, which suspends certain provisions of the Open meetings Law to allow a municipal Board to convene a meeting via videoconferencing. In accordance with the Executive order, the public has been provided with the ability to view the meeting and a transcript will be provided at a later date.
We ensure commercial site plans and subdivisions are implemented as approved through regular field visits. Our staff reviews each building permit application (over 900 annually) for compliance with the local zoning regulations. We field 100’s of inquiries and complaints regarding the land use regulations as well as administer the local regulations regarding signs, stormwater management, wetland, and transient merchants to name a few.
If you have a question about when Queensbury NY land use permits, such as when a permit is required or the permitting process, please contact our office.
