Queensbury NY has a vibrant senior community whose vivacious members and dedicated staff promotes ideas on aging well with a variety of programs and activities that keep seniors active and happy!
Queensbury Senior Citizens Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides social, educational, recreational, travel, volunteer, and fitness opportunities for seniors age 55 and up. The organization works with other area senior organizations, businesses and groups to provide support and collaboration in offering fantastic and diverse activities.
Queensbury Seniors take amazing trips! Some of the trips in the past have included more local points of interest including Shelburne Museum in Vermont and Cape Cod to more adventuresome excursions to the Colorado Rockies, cruises, and even England! Through the organization, classes for seniors in Queensbury include painting, geneology, and photography, while physical fitness classes such as Tai Chi, “Osteobusters,” and gentle yoga offer occasions for seniors to stay fit and lively!
